This is a great opportunity to own the 1932 and 1937 Soochow Creek China Marines medals that are not easy to come by. The 1937 medal has the original ribbon (no mouthing) and the 1932 is the medal only. Both have great patina. You do not see these everyday. I added a couple photos from a reference book I have. This helmet was manufactured in NLD by “Artillerie Inrichtingen” and its shape differs slightly from its successor, the M34. It once had an Art Deco Bronze emblem representing the coat of Arms of the Netherlands. This helmet was refurbished for re-use by the Bescherming Burgerbevolking (BB) after the war. The green band stands for medical personnell. Rare production stamps in bowl and liner. A wonderful survivor, rarely seen in this condition.
