This is a full size USN Aviator’s wing with an EAG appliance added to the center shield of a US Naval Aviator’s wing and thus designating a USMC aviator. This USMC wing style was not officially designated but was certainly worn. This wing is d ie struck but its maker is unknown as it is unmarked! While it is one of the most beautiful such wings I have ever seen, recognize that I’m reluctant to claim it is actually authentic to the era because it just looks too good and lacks the patina I would expect to see on such a wing of that age. I’ve also looked closely at the attachments of the pin bases to the wings in order to ascertain whether they are soldered or electronically welded. There is no bubbling as would be expected as a result of electronic welding. Electronic welding was not available until the late 1950s. The pin retraction is on a 70-80° angle and weighs 14 g m. This is a brass inkwell made around 1930. The design includes a pistol, a Japanese army cap, and a messtin. Luger Holster GECO Commerical Rare Beautiful! . This exact holster is pictured at the bottom of the page 249 in the Jan Still book 3rd Reich Luger’s. At first glance the holster looks like a World War II police style model. On the top of the front flap is a steel stud and upper strap is sewn to the body which passes under a hold down strap below the stud. On the right side is a spare magazine pouch and on the rear are two standard belt loops on the underside of the top flap there is not a pouch for a Luger combination take down tool. There was never such a pouch sewn under this top flap when the pull up strap in the front side of the body is pulled out slightly, stamped into the leather just below the end piece is a small gecko stamping with the large G followed by eco within the G. This is the commercial mark for the firm of Gustav Genschow EG located in Berlin. They were a well-known firm, especially in the production of various calibers of bullets they also produced a variety of German holster models this holster is finished in a fine quality and high gloss black, much higher quality than the typical military or police holster.
