Early 20th Century US Naval Officer’s Full Dress Cocked Hat/Chapeau, Shoulder Epaulettes, and Carrying Case. Probably for a Lieutenant. According to my research, these are from the early 20th century… Condition: Very nice, with a few loose areas (see photos). 7″ L x 5 1/2″ W x 3 1/2 Fringe Length. Made by The Wm. Measures 19″ total length x 7″ Total Width x 5 1/2 Total Height. With the exception of the areas where black “fur” is rubbed off. Black exterior isn’t metal, but some kind of hard pressed material. Brass corners, hinges, latches. Purplish Velvet interior (see photos). Name on latches is Corbin. Measures 19″ x 8″ x 7. Definitely used, but in good vintage condition. This is a very nice example of a rare and seldom encountered German Hunting Association Hirschfänger Dagger Short Sword which dates from the early 20th Century. It is mounted with a lovely straight spearpoint blade that measures 13 1/8 inches in length. The blade has survived in superb original condition with only very light scratches near the tip nevertheless continues to wear all of the gorgeous etching on either side that features intricately detailed hunting scenes. The beautifully detailed clam shell guard wears deer hoof finials on its crossguard, is silvered finished and has now wonderfully patined to a pretty blue hue. The lovely stag horn hilt fits well in the grip and is crowned with an acorn-tipped pommel with its silvered fittings also now very nicely patined to blue. The fabulous textured leather scabbard is fitted with beautiful coordinating silvered fittings, remains very healthy as well and is also mounted with its original very nice brown leather frog. Very good condition and guaranteed original US Model 1905 bayonet. Marked RIA on the left side of the blade and dated 1919 with a flaming bomb proof mark. Right side ricasso is marked US with a serial number. Blade has nice original blue metal finish. Remaining metal finish is mixed plum brown, brown, and gray. Grips have added varnish finish. Lock button functions fine. Fitted in an original Model 1917 Enfield leather scabbard. This was considered an acceptable substitute during WWI. Leather shows some wear, stitching and rivets are nice and tight. A scarce RIA 1919 M1905 bayonet for your collection. This is a very nice example of a Japanese D-Guard Army Officer’s Kyu Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a well made grooved, machine made blade that measures 26 5/8 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice original condition with just some minor surface blemishes. The fabulous large D-guard is beautifully detailed and although has one very small stress crack to one edge, does remain tight and sturdy as well as is wonderfully enhanced with a silver family mon on the backstrap. The pretty white rayskin covered hilt remains very healthy and continues to wear its original twisted wire wrap securely in place. The plated metal scabbard has a single ding but does remain in very nice, serviceable condition. Overall measuring 37 1/4 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list.
