It never had a lion badge on front late production? During the war it was used in 1943 by the Gendarmerie troops and got its decals on the sides. (the Marechaussee was thus renamed in 1943 and fully collaborative to the Germans). After 1945 the helmet was reused by the Korps Rijkspolitie (State Police). Most helmets used by the National Police after the war came from German war booty. In the liner you’ll find the marking RE =rijdend eskadron?
