Berndorfer steal-helmet, made by Arthur Krupp factory in Berndorf in 1917. This helmet was reissued by the the Czech or Hungarian army. Innerliner has been replaced, by the army at time, (cause of distruction of the old innner-liner or cause of hygiene purposes). The helmet is in a overall good condition, I got it from my friend Franz Thaler passed away in August. Lacking chin-strap , made of canvas. The helmet is stamped inside the neckguard with the little BEAR OF BERNDORF, the colour was scratched away. To liberate it, in the manner I could be seen, after Mr. Thaler overpainted the place with a clear lacquer to protect it against rust. It´s a nice and extremely rare helmet. This is an extremely nice example of a WW2 Japanese Army Officers Shin Gunto. It is mounted with a very nice old koto blade. The early high quality type 94 koshirae with pierced tsuba remains in exceptionally nice condition. The metal saya is finished in an brown color, however what really sets this koshirae apart from most others, is the original red and brown field officers tassel hanging from the cord sarute. (Field Officer Tassels where carried by officers with the rank of Major Colonel). Shinano Kami Fujiwara Daido. Overall, 38 3/4 inches; blade, 26 inches; blade and tang, 34 3/8 inches. Sword smith name is. And he worked mainly Keian. (Mino where is todays Gifu-pref) and that name Daido continued few generation, and Shinanonomkami- Daido is first generation. Vintage USN Commander Howard Burton Berry 1921 USN U. S Submarine S-30 Crew Photo / Officer Commission Signed Papers. Howard Burton Berry Served in the Navy from 1906 to after WWII. THIS LOT has all the important documents that would go along with the crew photo. He is a young officer in the middle of the photo We also have his large Commission document on vellum type paper during President Warren G Harding. These document as seen I have taken front and back photos of his in the Navy. These papers are all original with original signatures. GREAT LOT that shows just a small part of his life in the Navy. His DD214 tells us that he was able to receive medals many campaigns Nigeruaga – Mexican -WW1 & WW2. Prior to WW1 he was on the S-2 in Honolulu and saw service in the Pacific. After commanding on many submarines, he then in the late 1920’s moved away from the Submarines and went over for a few years on the Colorado and Pennsylvania then back to commanding submarines and for the WWII effort here in the states pushing papers. POLAND MONTE CASSINO CROSS FOR OFFICER OF ARTILLERY WW2 RARE. 41 x 41 mm. Crosses for Officers are Very Rare. The Recipient of the Monte Cassino Cross Numbered: 33787 is as follows. Date of Birth: 13th February 1898. Army Number (also found on His ID Tags) Not Listed other than His Year of Birth 1898. Unit: 10 Pulk Artylerrii Ciezkiej. The History of the 10PAC lists him has Adjudant and that he served with 7PAL. The 1932 Officers Yearbook lists Bolesaw otarewicz has a Kapitan serving with 7PAL with KW and 2 Bars and the Mededaille Interalliee WW1 Victory Medal possibly French Type? He was promoted to Kapitan on the 1st January 1927, whilst serving with 2 PAC. Major Bolesaw otarewicz by 1939 was serving in the 7PAC and had been awarded the KW x 3 and the SKZ. The only other piece of information that I could find on him is a listing for Bolesaw otarewicz on Ancestry Death Registered in Chelsea, London in 1964.
