RUSSIAN WHITE ARMY “ROVS” IN PRAGUE SILVER CIGARETTE CASE 1930 RARE! This is a presentation cigarette box with the “ROVS” or Russian All-Military Union insignia. ROVS was founded in 1924 by the Chief of White Russian Army abroad Peter Wrangel. The cigarette box has a badge of ROVS in Czechoslovakia founded by general Kutepov in 1929. The silver cigarette box of 0900 silver measures 75 x 95 mm. The weight is 102,18 g. Besides the ROVS badge it has got “BA” initials on top. Presentation inscription inside says: “Vanoce 1930″, “Happy New Year Prague” in Russian. All hinges work perfect. This is a very rare White Russian Army piece! This is a very nice example of a Soviet Russian Cossack Shashka Sword P 1927. It is mounted with a slightly curved blade that measures 32 inches in length which remains in extremely nice condition with just some minor surface staining and continues to wear very nice, clear markings. The hilt has a grooved wooden grip that also remains healthy and tight and wears beautifully patined brass fittings with a pommel which is nicely engraved with the Soviet emblem. The wooden scabbard is brass and metal fitted and although has a little light scuffing, does remain in very nice serviceable condition as well. Overall measuring 38 3/4 inches in length. Very rare Soviet Budenovka. This original Budenovka is in great condition with no repairs, tears or holes. It has its original buttons and enamel Hammer and Sickle badge. It only shows some minor wear at the edge of the inner lining and some corrosion on the metal buttons. The two metal buttons are marked. One shows a’M’ and’67’, the other a’M’ and’65’. The cloth nor the stitches glow under UV light as can be seen on the pictures below. Rare, especially in this condition!
