A very rare find! For sale is a Rare version of a Polish Cavalry Sword wz 1921 or wz. 21, rare troops/NCO version. This Saber was produced by A. Mann, Warsaw (mark on the ricasso) and is numbered 9. On the back of the blade – extremely low number, one of the first ever produced!!!! The sword fits perfectly into the scabbard. Semi-relic condition wit extensive pitting to both hilt and scabbard. Scabbard has a couple of holes as pictured. The blade appears much better, with some dark spots and looks that it was period re-sharpened. Please judge for yourself the condition from the pictures. 22 POLISH POLAND ORDER OF THE WHITE EAGLE, GRAND CROSS, Polands highest decoration. The cross is made in sterling gold gilt and enamels in three parts design, 72 mm, star 75 mm. Collectors should be aware that the II Republic of Poland awarded only 95 White Eagles before WWII. I have no idea how many were made in France and for whom. I estimate that no more then 20. Because this officer served in the Polish Army on emigration and he died in the United Kingdom. With the saber are British knot and frog. Sword, saber in very good. Condition for his age.
