3RD ARMY ENGINEERS SINGLE FACE PERSONAL FLAG. Army was established in Chaumont, France, on November 7, 1918, five days before the end of World War I. It was composed of three corps (III, IV, and VII) and was tasked with moving to central Germany to disarm and disband German forces, as part of the Army of Occupation. Its headquarters was later established in Koblenz, Germany and the unit was deactivated on July 2, 1919, following Germany’s signing of the Treaty of Versailles.
