This is a very nice example of a Japanese Naval Officer’s Dress Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 25 3/4 inches in length. The plated blade although remains in good condition, has flaking to the plating on either side. The D-guard is beautifully detailed with pretty cherry blossoms “sakura” motifs that adorn the pommel, the backstrap and the guard face and frame a lovely white samé covered hilt with the original twisted wire wrap still securely in place. The wonderful shagreen covered scabbard has survived beautifully and in very healthy condition. All the lovely fittings continue to wear much of their original gold wash, and although the base fitting has a small ding on one side, they do remain very nice in their condition as well. This 1930’s U. Army Full Dress Field Grade Officer’s white summer cap is in very good condition overall; The cap is faded from use, age and storage and has a small area of staining on the top of the cap, cap badge has toning and nice patina, sweatband is intact and has minor wear (all stitching in very good condition), when worn the visor has a very nice shape and the oak leaf clusters in gold bullion on the visor have nice toning with no fraying or loose threads. Circa 1920’s Full Dress General Officer’s Visor Cap. There is very detailed bullion work around the band. Not sure who the maker is, or the size. In good condition; the sweatband is worn, stained and is missing stitching about half-way around. The bullion vein work design is largely gone, but still has a great look. WW2 German Kriegsmarine dagger sword hanger dress belt Navy WW1 parade military. Here is your chance to own an original Kriegsmarine parade belt and hanger set. The period photo shown at the end of this listing is not included but does show how this setup was wonr. This was used over the reefer jacket and could be used in conjunction with the dress sabre or officer’s dagger.
