1920’s-30’s Public Health Service Dress Coat and Cover. This is a scarcer coat with an Army style light weight gabardine service dress material. It has nice black piping and is nicely lined. There are no names or maker labels or contract labels inside. Not sure of the size, but it measures at approx size 34-36. The cover is by Wm. No size or ID inside the sweatband, it has nice black piping detail around the band. I believe it is approx. In fine condition: The coat has some spots with moth tracking. The cover has some moth tracking, light blemishing, there is wear to the leather on the chin strap and the visor, the sweatband is mostly separated. On the ricasso of the blade there is etched Yugoslav emblem (Crowned doubleheaded eagle). Last use of the daggers was in the short war againstGermany in April 1941 at beginning of WW2 in Yugoslavia. After fall ofYugoslavia Croatian officers used this dagger (only a few months) but theYugoslav emblem was changed with Croatian. ORIGINAL & VG+ Condition M1902 Officer’s Dress Saber & Scabbard w/ Provenance. This is an ORIGINAL example of the Model 1902 Officer’s Dress Sword/Saber and scabbard, as worn during dress uniform occasions. The saber was manufactured in Germany (see image of ricasso) and so I have placed its vintage between the World Wars. The saber is chromed and engraved with the Army coat-of-arms on the reverse surface and on the obverse has U. ” and the name of the officer “Edwin J. Saradakis engraved in the blank space provided there. The sword and nickel-plated scabbard are both in VERY GOOD+ condition and show no defects or scratches and only needs a good polishing. Best of all, the sword has a beautiful russet brown leather sword “knot” and lanyard to compliment its appearance. Here’s an opportunity for the sword or edged weaponry collector to obtain a beautiful dress saber for the collection or a re-enactor for his impression. This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army Dress Parade Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 32 3/8 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice original condition with its gorgeous chemically applied temper line still beautifully present on either side. The beautifully detailed guard remains in very nice condition as well and wears a lovely silver Japanese Samurai family mon on the backstrap. The lovely carved horn hilt has survived in very healthy condition and with all of its twisted wire wrap still securely in place.
