Here is a neat item from the Big One–WWII era! A genuine vintage WW2 era Czech Czechoslovak Vz24 bayonet with steel scabbard. Literally caked in cosmoline from years of storage. Needs a good cleaning off. The bayonet is in good to very good condition overall.
Please review all images and video for best idea of bayonet.. There are numerous markings by a couple makers.. Unsure when this would have been issued weighs over 1 lb total weight. XX let ceskoslovenske armady v osvobozenem state 1938 – “20 Years Czechoslovak Military in the Free State” Book, Czech, WW2, large coffee table book, 12″x9″ Published in 1938 just before WW2 started, the book is written in Czech with a lot of Black and White pictures of various branches of Czechoslovak Military in 1930’s.
This is a Brazilian VZ 24 JC rifle made under contract by the arsenal at Brno (ZB) in Czechoslovakia. The “JC” is short for Jiznà CÃna or “South China” in Czech. But more on this later. It is a standard length, large ring 1898 pattern action.
This is a nice piece and it is in fairly good shape considering it’s age. It definitely shows a little bit of use. Has some dents and dings. Take a look at all the photos to see condition.
