ORIGINAL 1930’S UNITED STATES ARMY AIR CORPS PILOT WINGS, 2-7/8 INCH SIZE, PIN-BACK. During World War II, with the rise of the Army Air Forces, a second series of aviator badges were issued to include a design that has survived to the modern day. The Pilot Badge was issued in three degrees, including Pilot, Senior Pilot, and Command Pilot. A polished silver colored version of these badges is currently used as the United States Air Force Pilot Badges. From August 1941 to November 1942, the Enlisted Aviator program was restarted. Candidates had to be at least 18, possess a high school diploma, and have graduated at the top of their high school class. Graduates were rated as Flight Staff Sergeants or Flight Technical Sergeants and wore the same pilot’s wings as officers. They were usually assigned to pilots of transport and auxiliary aircraft to free officer pilots to pilot the more prestigious fighters and bombers. Auxiliary pilots received their own special wings to indicate their status and specialty. In November 1942 all enlisted pilots were promoted to Flight Officer rank and enlisted cadets were graded as Flight Officers or Second Lieutenants depending on merit. This leather bag is a rare find for collectors of militaria. It is an original item from the Spanish War in the 1930s and was manufactured for the Skara of the Alhucemas Indigenous Regular Forces Group No. During the Spanish Civil War. Hand tooled leather with symbols – made without a crown. This bag, made of leather, was used by troops from Morocco during the war to carry personal belongings. The bag is well-preserved and shows signs of wear and tear due to its age. The bag’s unique feature is the design showing the symbol for Skara of the Alhucemas Regular Forces Group No. 5, which adds to its historical significance. It is a perfect addition to any collection of original period items. The bag is categorized under Collectibles and Militaria, and its aspects include Original/Reproduction, Theme, and Country/Region of Manufacture. I did my best to provide photos that would answer most of your questions condition, size & shape, wear due to age, etc. , but should you need further information, please don’t hesitate to message me!

1930s US Coast Guard Sailor Archive Presidential Certificates Scrapbooks Yale Harvard. Sailor’s name was Emmet T. Nice archive, nothing was cherry picked out this is just how I got everything. 7 Certificates- Some are Presidential Promotions starting in 1933 from Franklin D. Roosevelt and one from Harry Truman. Signed by Secretary of the Treasury or the Asst secretary. They measure 16X20 1933 certificate from when he completed his training at the Coast Guard Academy. Latest certificate is his 1956 promotion to Captain. 1932 Domain of Neptunus Rex certificate from the USS Sebago. Certificates are overall in pretty good shape- Some are excellent, some have some light spotting/ soiling or a little wear. Also included are 2 scrapbooks- Both are partially full and Ive shown the majority of pages but theres probably 8 or so no shown that didnt have anything really “exciting” on them. Except for some loose items here and there, the stuff is glued in the scrapbooks. The smaller one is kind of falling apart but the bigger one is in better shape. Some coast guard items and stuff in the smaller one is about 1933/1934. Has a card/ ticket to the 1934 Yale Harvard Regatta. His wife attended Connecticut University so theres some stuff in there from her college days. The larger scrapbook has some newspaper clippings from Mardi Gras in Galveston TX.
