Coming out of my collection is this Officers Sam Brown sword belt with the double shoulder straps. This configuration with 2 straps is reasonably scarce as original. It is in excellent and complete condition for it’s near 100 year age and has a near perfect color match for all parts. The belt, sword hanger leather slide, holster slide and. 45 magazine pouch are all marked and dated as follows — Q. 1922 and inspected on all H. 45 pistol Holster is not marked. Unusual to find all with a date and inspector match. The nickel sword hanger in great shape, is unmarked and has the knurled locking ring on the clip. To me the type of lock and clip on the hanger would indicate U. Made and better quality than the French import hangers that are normally seen. All stitching is strong. Some lite crazing on shoulder strap attachment ends but nothing serious. The item “U. S. ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1920s or early 1930s United States Coast Guard Officer hat badge marked Vanguard NYC on reverse: this is the only one of its kind that I have seen. Circa 1920’s Full Dress General Officer’s Visor Cap. There is very detailed bullion work around the band. Not sure who the maker is, size is about a 7 – 7-1/4. In good condition; the sweatband is worn, stained and is missing stitching about half-way around. The bullion vein work design is largely gone, but still has a great look.
