This is a very nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 95. It wears a brass guard and is mounted with a cast aluminum hilt painted to resemble the Officer’s pattern which continues to wear traces of the original paint and does remain in nice, tight condition. The machine made blade measures 26 3/8 inches in length and has survived in very nice condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The MATCHING metal scabbard shows to have been painted black at some time and is a bit scuffed but does remain in very good serviceable condition as well. Overall measuring 38 1/8 inches in length.
