This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 32 that is wearing matching numbers. It is mounted with a well made machine made blade that measures 30 5/8 inches in length which remains in superb original condition. The Sword wears a metal D-guard with a checkered wooden grip that has survived in excellent condition as well and is dated “Taisho 1.2″ which translates to “February 1912″. The MATCHING metal scabbard has minor scuffs as well as a ding and a minor rust spot on the edge of the drag, nevertheless remains in very good serviceable condition and continues to wear all of its beautiful blued finish. This is a good example of a Japanese Naval Officer’s Dress Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 25 5/8 inches in length which remains in very nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The lovely D-guard is beautifully detailed and frames a samé covered hilt with the original wire wrap still tightly in place. Pretty cherry blossoms “sakura” motifs adorn the pommel, the backstrap and the guard face. The lovely shagreen covered scabbard has an aged seam opening as well as a crack to the shagreen, but is not broken and does remain in good condition as well as wears wonderfully detailed fittings. Exceedingly RARE to find in any condition, this is a very nice example of an Italian Partisan Lieutenant Uniform that includes both the Tunic and Breeches. The Partisans fought the Germans and Italian Army in 44 and 45 in Northern Italy and this particular Uniform is a Pre-War Design in its chocolate colored wool as well as includes the handmade insignia which was unique to the Partisans. The Tunic reflects “war sweat stains” most especially along the waistline beneath where the belt would have fit, otherwise remains in very nice, healthy condition with all the stitching still tightly in place and all the buttons still securely attached. The Tunic measures from shoulder seam to shoulder seam 16 1/2 inches across and from the top edge of the collar to the hemline 26 inches in length. The Breeches have also survived in very nice condition with all their buttons still attached and all the stitching nicely intact. The waistline measures about 32 inches and overall they measure from the top of the waistline to the breeches hemlines 28 inches in length. Truly a Rare Find Indeed! Uniform is named and dated to Lieutenant General Thomas E. Includes coat and Sam Brown belt. The coat is is in museum quality condition with no moth nips or stains. The belt is soft and pliable. EGA’s are perfect matches with one being repaired to pin back. EGA’s are marked Gemsco. Also included are 2 Ww2 original photos of the General. Picture frame and mannequin not included. At the end of World War II, he commanded the 5th Marine Division in the occupation of Japan, and the Fleet Marine Force, Pacific BiographyEdit Bourke was a native of Robinson, Maryland, and a graduate of St. Johns College, Annapolis, Maryland. He was commissioned in 1917 after service in the Maryland National Guard along the Mexican border. While en route to Santo Domingo for his first tour, he and 50 recruits were diverted to St. Croix, becoming the first U. Troops to land on what had just become the American Virgin Islands. Post-World War I tours included service at Quantico, Parris Island, San Diego, and Headquarters Marine Corps. This is a very nice example of a German Hirschfanger Dagger Short Sword which dates from the early 20th Century. It is mounted with a lovely straight beefy spearpoint blade that measures 9 3/4 inches in length by 1 1/4 inches at the widest. The blade has survived in beautiful, original condition with only some minor surface blemishes and continues to wear all of its nice markings on either side. It wears a nicely detailed straight German silver crossguard which frames an impressive stag horn hilt that fits well in the grip and features a beautiful silver escutcheon with the itinials of the original owner on one side. The deep rich dark green leather scabbard also remains in very nice original condition with just some wear to the leather finish on the tip. Overall measuring 16 1/8 inches in length.
