This is a vintage US Army McClellan Artillery saddle. The saddle says it is an 12 inch, it is missing a stirrup and a few straps. The underside is very worn, but overall it is still a great saddle. All our items come from estate sales, yard sales, flea markets or places that we have traveled. All Japanese items come directly from Japan. I lived in Japan for 8 years and collected several nice pieces. Feedback will be left once feedback is received. If you get it dry cleaned or repaired prior to contacting me once. Very scarce bronze and enamel cross (22 mm x 22 mm) awarded in the 1920s to members of the Associazione Nazionale Volontari Di Guerra (National Association of Volunteers of the War). This organization was dedicated to the promotion of Italian veterans of the First World War and this cross was their highest award Ref: Brambilla & Fossati VOC-03, p. This is an example of a Japanese Army Battle Weary Shin Gunto Officer’s Sword that is mounted with a Seki arsenal blade. The blade wears a cutting edge which measures 25 5/8 inches in length that although has several pronounced nicks to the cutting edge, does continue to wear its lovely actively wavy temper line. The tang is signed “Ando YOSHIHARU saku kore”. The hilt wrapping remains in superb, original condition and is mounted with beautiful quality fittings. The wooden scabbard is scuffed and although still present, the leather combat covering is also in well worn condition. Overall measuring 39 1/2 inches in length.
