An early original factory ground Rohm by E. Pack & Solingen is for sale just for you! Pack was only one of a handful of makers who were authorized to make daggers for this area. The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto is beautifully executed although the black letters have faded over time and the E. Solingen maker mark remains 25% intact. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks great! (Slight bend/dent from soldier wear) The ball on the lower scabbard fitting is in. Most of the screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect! The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped “Wf” from Westfalen district. The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. There are minor pressure marks throughout but no chips or cracks. The eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit! The SA symbol has a perfect fit and retained its enamel. A fine example at an attractive price for a great collectible piece. The item “WWII German Factory Ground Rohm SA Dagger by E. Pack & S, Westfalen Wf District” is in sale since Wednesday, December 12, 2018. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\1919-38\Original Period Items”. After WWI, and specifically in 1929, an act of Congress facilitated organized pilgrimages to the grave sites of fallen U. Government paid the travel expenses for widows and mothers with the first group of pilgrims embarking on their journey in May of 1930. This is a collection of items from one such family’s pilgrimage. This collection was found grouped together and includes. Pilgrimage of Mothers and Widows Gold Star medal. Box in which medal was seated, marked Tiffany & Company on the front. Note that the medal itself is back-stamped B. 41 and not Tiffany. I don’t know how the two relate. An enameled picture frame with a soldier depicted. In Ohio with patent dates of 1917 and 1918. Two small enameled pins, one with a heart and one with a star. These photos were found under an interior flap in the Tiffany box. Because they were found together, they should be kept together. I do not want to separate and sell any of these items separately. Everything appears to be in very good, original condition. The Gold Star ribbon and the box do show some staining/soiling as can be seen. That is as much as I can tell you about these items. If you have any questions or need additional photos, please let me know. Thank you for looking. Just an incredible find. A rare USS Lexington original pre WWII photo album. Appears to have belonged to a Navy pilot on the Lexington. Filled with 225 photos. Album is not completely full. Also there is several pages of the pilots daily diary. The entries are dated 1930. There are some personal photos but most are military photos. Incredible images of old Boeing Navy warplanes, rare in flight photos, a sailor/pilot stunt riding his Harley Davidson on the runway, several great images of the Lexington as well as photos on board. On a personal note; As a child I remember asking my Uncle when he proudly displayed the dagger, Did the man give this to you? Without expression he answered “He had no choice”. Only when I was much older did I understand the full meaning of his answer. This Double Proofed Höller is a fine example, with excellent nickel plated crossguards and a tang nut that does not look to have ever been removed. The guards are nearly perfect. The scabbard shell is straight throughout, with excellent brown paint that shows only a few signs of wearing. Not much, though, and remains nearly 100%intact. The nickel plated mounts are in excellent condition, including the lower ball. The four original dome head screws are in place. The blade is still bright throughout, showing the most modest of age. There are a few runner marks but it is still nearly mint, with all of the original crossgrain. The SA motto is good, with all of the darkening in the lettering, retaining excellent enamel. The blade shoulders perfectly fit the lower crossguard contour. Dagger: 13 1/2 inches. Blade: 8 1/2 inches. History of the SA. The SA or Brown Shirts, were a private political formation which Adolf Hitler and the NSDAP used to maintain order at organized Party meetings and demonstrations. The group was formed in1921, and grew to a huge force of nearly 3,000,000 men by the later 1930’s. To instill esprit de corps, as well as create employment for the Blade City of Solingen, it was decided each SA man would carry a dagger with his Brown Shirt uniform. Huge quantities needed to be produced to accommodate the demand. The dagger initially was produced of hand-fitted nickel mounts with attractive finished wood grip and brown anodized (a bluing process) finished scabbard. The blade was etched with the SA motto, Alles für Deutschland. Examples produced prior to 1935 were stamped with the German sector of the SA group on reverse lower crossguard. Later examples underwent standardization through the RZM ministry. These pieces were produced of plated zinc-base fittings and scabbards were painted brown. The item “WW2 German SA RZM M7/33 Dagger with Scabbard, F. W. Holler, Solingen” is in sale since Monday, December 10, 2018. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\1919-38\Original Period Items”. The seller is “46sanctioned” and is located in Mesa, Arizona. This item can be shipped to United States.
