VERY NICE CHINESE NATIONALIST GENERAL OFFICER SWORD With PRESENTATION
This is a fabulous example of a Chinese Nationalist General Army Officer Sword which dates from the early 20th Century, and is very rare and seldom ever found in any condition. It is mounted with an INSIGNIFICANT blade that measures 29 inches in length that although has a bit of flaking to its plating, does remain in good condition. The impressive gilded guard is intricately detailed with high relief and engravings and has survived in very nice condition, continuing to wear most of its bright gold wash. The faux shell hilt also remains very nice with just one small chip near the pommel nevertheless does remain tightly in place and with all the twisted wire wrap still nicely secure. The plated metal scabbard is lightly scuffed however all the beautiful gilded fittings remain bright and nice in their condition and include the presentation which is engraved along the top edge of the top fitting.
