THE SOLID BRONZE EMBLEM WAS DESIGNED BY SCULPTOR ADOLPH ALEXANDER WEINMAN OF NEW YORK CITY UNDER SUPERVISION OF THE COMMISSION OF FINE ARTS. ONE OF THE ORIGINAL VERY SMALL EYE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE ORIGINAL BRASS CHAIN TO THE SOLID OAK PLAQUE ON THE REVERSE HAS SNAPPED OFF AND COULD EASILY BE REPLACED.
The bayonet lugs and springs are all still intact and can be placed on any compatible Mauser rifle as this is a VZ-24 Mauser bayonet design. (Tested with a Yugo M24/47). This rare Czech WW1-WW2 Mauser Service Bayonet with Scabbard is a must-have for any serious collector of militaria.
