Charles Augustus Lindbergh b. 1974 was an American aviator, military officer, author, inventor, and activist. At the age of 25, he achieved instantaneous world fame by making the first nonstop flight from New York City to Paris on May 20-21, 1927. The Spirit of St. Louis (Registration: N-X-211) is the custom-built, single engine, single-seat, high wing monoplane flown by Charles Lindberg May 20-21, 1927, on the first solo nonstop transatlantic flight from New York, to France. During the United States occupation of Haiti in 1919 the United States Marine Corps stationed Marine Observation units using HS-1 and HS-2 aircraft in what became Bowen Field.

Date: 1944 Artist: Falter, John Size (in): 41″ x 28″ Size (cm): 104.1 x 71.1 Condition: A- Linen backed: No This rare vintage original poster was issued by the US Navy in 1932 for recruiting purposes. The poster features artwork showing a US Navy sailor in the War of 1812 along with an image of modern naval personnel with a title that reads. The Valiant Spirit Of Our Navy Makes Better Americans – Enlist and Be One. The artwork shows the dates 1812 and 1932 and the lower margin is printed “5-6-32″ so thus the date. Also printed in the lower margin is text that reads Compliments to H. Burbank with this being a reference to acclaimed Swedish-American painter Harry Reuterdahl who had designed several WWI era posters for the US Navy. This is a rare poster as far fewer posters were produced during the interwar period than during WWI or WWII. Overall condition is very good. EM Viquesney sculptor post WW1 Americus Georgia Spirit of the American Doughboy. Produced in Americus Georgia following WW1. 10 3/4 with a base of Approx. Weight is a hefty 3lb 15Oz. The piece is missing the M 1903 rifle with Bayonet (Due to the nature of the assembly the hand and rifle often dropped off , there is no breakage). Condition is good with no breaks or cracks other than the base plate material which is missing. There are some dents and losses here and there, (some barbed wire absent), some scratching /discoloration around the eyes. Please carefully inspect the pictures as these form part of the description.
