The top bar or brooch is a pin back with a functional rotating clasp closure. The second portion consists of an intermediate clasp of crossed arms to indicate the type of weapon that was used to earn the award rifle, pistol, or, soon thereafter, automatic weapons. In this case it has crossed rifles. The third, lower piece is a planchet, that when enameled, told the arm or the type of service, in this case, blue for Infantry. The central design is a bow and a pair of arrows. The planchet consists of three concentric designs. 0625 in diameter, displays a compound bow and two crossed arrows, a symbol of marksmanship. Outside of that is a center ring, 015 in width, which displays 13 stars. An oak-leaf wreath executed in bronze surrounds the entire design, making the planchet 1-1/2 in width. The combatant arms had bronze stars with the ring enameled in blue for Infantry.

For your consideration is this absolutely beautiful 1930 dated “384th Infantry Cup” rifle competition medal and pin. The pin resembles the older style 384th Infantry unit insignias. I’m not sure who the maker is. The shooting badge is a two-piece design as the target and wreaths are applied. This very fine badge was made by “Sartori & Wolff”. I’m not familiar with this maker, but according to the interwebs, they were makers of fine jewelry in Spokane, Washington. The construction and engraving on this piece are second to none, and finding anything from the 384th is super tough. This piece is museum collection worthy… Please see our other listings, and check back often as we typically list 30-50 high-end estate items each week with No Reserve! Fixed orange barrel plug/markings are on this replica gun. This is a one model of our unique collection. You are warmly welcom to visit my shop. In this model, we have developed a unique design. You won’t find this model anywhere else! The first feature is a working shutter, which, like the whole rifle, is made of wood. It is reloaded and makes an emission of working with a cartridge. The second feature is the removable bayonet. It is fastened to like a real culprit and removed if necessary. It’s just a pleasure to have such a model as a toy and as a collector’s item. It is about 1 meter (39.4 inches) long when assembled without the bayonet. This scale is 20% smaller than the actual size, and is suitable for war games for teenagers from 7-14 years old. Exclusive layout, each copy is made by hand. Made from precious woods for an authentic look. Lightweight compared to the iron version. Durability with proper use. After a lawsuit with the post office, I will replace the goods at my own expense. Please check your items upon receipt. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\1919-38\Reproductions”.
