Germany re-integrated the region into the German Reich, appointing Josef Bürckel as Reichskommissar für die Rückgliederung des Saarlandes, Reich Commissioner for the reincorporation of the Saarland. Many photos of the German towns and countryside of the region of that time. This is a very awesome and RARE photobook!
