This is a very nice example of an Italian Eagle Head Dress Dagger Pugnali that dates from the late World War II Era. It is mounted with a blade that measures 6 3/4 inches in length which remains in good condition with some minor surface scratches and minor blemishes. The lovely black painted carved wooden grip remains very healthy and with its original twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. The hilt is crowned with a wonderfully well detailed eagle head pommel and backstrap that also remain nice with most of their original finish still present as well. The leather sheath also remains very healthy and in good serviceable condition. Overall, the Dagger measures 11 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. Check out my other items. These are a pair of original WWI era US Navy officer formal dress epaulettes. They have the rank of Lieutenant, some of the fringe is stretched and broken. All our items come from estate sales, yard sales, flea markets or places that we have traveled. All Japanese items come directly from Japan.
