This is a very nice example of an Italian Air Force Dress Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a very nice straight, fullered blade that measures 30 1/4 inches in length. The blade is beautifully etched with bright blue and gold on either side, is marked by the maker E & F Hörster Solingen on the ricasso and remains in superb original condition. The lovely cup guard is in the motif of a full eagle’s wing with the pommel in the image of an eagle’s head and remains in nice tight condition. The black painted wooden hilt reflects a little wear to the painted finish, otherwise remains nice as well and the original twisted wire wrap is still securely in place. The metal scabbard is leather covered and beautifully fitted with the top fitting featuring the Air Force emblem. This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Shin Gunto Army Officer’s Sword. It is mounted with a beautiful arsenal made, stainless steel blade that wears a cutting edge that measures 24 1/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in wonderfully nice original condition with only some very minor surface blemishes. The tang wears one hole and is unmarked. All the very nice quality fittings remain clean and in beautiful condition as well. The very nice metal scabbard also remains pristine in its condition. Overall measuring 39 1/8 inches in length. This is an outstanding example of a War-Time Historically Recorded Battlefield Pick-Up World War II Japanese Army Officer Sword mounted with an ancestral blade. The old antique Wakizashi blade wears a cutting edge of 20 3/8 inches in length. The blade does wear a visibly wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side however reflects cleanings from recent years and has a couple of nicks to the cutting edge, otherwise does remain in good condition. The tang wears one hole and is signed “Bishu Ju San Shiro”. The Sword wears Army Shin Gunto Regulation Mounts which all remain in very nice however there is a small glued repair to the wrapping. The Regulation scabbard remains very nice in its condition and is wonderfully hand painted with the recording of one of the hill battles of Iwo Jima along with the date March 26, 1945 and the name of the GI that brought it home. This is a fabulous example of a fine quality Japanese Imperial Naval Officer’s Kai Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a gorgeous and very well made hand-forged blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 27 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice, original condition with just some very minor surface blemishes and continues to proudly don its beautiful actively wavy temper line. The tang is very nicely signed which translates to “Fujiwara Sukekore saku kore”. The hilt and all the lovely gilded superb quality matching fittings also remain in wonderful, original condition and the samé covered scabbard has survived in outstanding condition as well. This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 32 that is wearing matching numbers. It is mounted with a well made machine made blade that measures 30 5/8 inches in length which remains in superb original condition. The Sword wears a metal D-guard with a checkered wooden grip that has survived in excellent condition as well and is dated “Taisho 1.2″ which translates to “February 1912″. The MATCHING metal scabbard has minor scuffs as well as a ding and a minor rust spot on the edge of the drag, nevertheless remains in very good serviceable condition and continues to wear all of its beautiful blued finish. Exceedingly RARE to find in any condition, this is a very nice example of an Italian Partisan Lieutenant Uniform that includes both the Tunic and Breeches. The Partisans fought the Germans and Italian Army in 44 and 45 in Northern Italy and this particular Uniform is a Pre-War Design in its chocolate colored wool as well as includes the handmade insignia which was unique to the Partisans. The Tunic reflects “war sweat stains” most especially along the waistline beneath where the belt would have fit, otherwise remains in very nice, healthy condition with all the stitching still tightly in place and all the buttons still securely attached. The Tunic measures from shoulder seam to shoulder seam 16 1/2 inches across and from the top edge of the collar to the hemline 26 inches in length. The Breeches have also survived in very nice condition with all their buttons still attached and all the stitching nicely intact. The waistline measures about 32 inches and overall they measure from the top of the waistline to the breeches hemlines 28 inches in length. Truly a Rare Find Indeed! This is a very nice example of a German Hirschfanger Dagger Short Sword which dates from the early 20th Century. It is mounted with a lovely straight beefy spearpoint blade that measures 9 3/4 inches in length by 1 1/4 inches at the widest. The blade has survived in beautiful, original condition with only some minor surface blemishes and continues to wear all of its nice markings on either side. It wears a nicely detailed straight German silver crossguard which frames an impressive stag horn hilt that fits well in the grip and features a beautiful silver escutcheon with the itinials of the original owner on one side. The deep rich dark green leather scabbard also remains in very nice original condition with just some wear to the leather finish on the tip. Overall measuring 16 1/8 inches in length. The blade also continues to wear its wonderful, actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang wears the signature “Sukegawa SADAMITSU ” on one side.
