This is a great opportunity to own the 1932 and 1937 Soochow Creek China Marines medals that are not easy to come by. The 1937 medal has the original ribbon (no mouthing) and the 1932 is the medal only. Both have great patina. You do not see these everyday. I added a couple photos from a reference book I have. These very cool items came out in the 1930s and were used for short range communication and can actually communicate full-duplex with a common ground. Its nice and small and is a great display item! Just what you see in the pictures. Condition: No evidence of liquid ingress and no burnt smell. Please refer to the photographs. No damage that Im aware of that isnt obvious in the pictures or mentioned in the listing. The hinges could use a little oil. The front clasp doesnt latch; I think a small piece of metal is missing or the existing tangs need to be bent. The battery compartment has some rust. Be sure to add me to your.
