WWI WW1 USMC Marine Corps band trumpet bugle banner 1922 vintage rare antique. Circa WWI era trumpet banner or tabard for Marine Corps buglers and trumpeters. Can be seen in the 1922 regulations (see photo) and used throughout WWII. Tabard has some mothing, see photos for details. Also appears to be some light writing on the EGA but cannot make out what it says. Overall, in great shape for being possibly up to 100 years old. Still displays very well. Russian SSh36 Hasanka combat helmet WW2, Schvartz Kaska M36. For sale is a rare USSR SSh-36 “Shvartz” helmet. This helmet was an improvement over the Adrian-type helmets primarily used by the Red Army. The M-36 was designed in 1935 by Alexander Shvartz, an officer of the Red Army. While it was expensive and too complex in manufacturing, it was aborted in 1941 in favor of the less expensive SSh-40 model. Not many of these helmets survived WW2. In good condition they are only available at very high prices. I think this helmet is a very good reproduction. I think it is suitable for re-enactment. For sale is a Polish M31-36, LUDWIKOW Salamandra helmet World War II. The helmet was restored from a very oxidised condition and has been given a smooth anti-reflex paint. The colour is very similar to the original. Poland developed these helmets to fit the new 1936 uniform. Nowadays they are only for sale at high prices. So may be this restored original one suits the not-so-rich, but serious collectioners. This helmet was a relic, found in a bunker in Bochum Dahlhausen, Germany. There was a FLAK position on the mountain nearby, and the German special troops had bunkers in the mountain. They holed up in the entire forest area to fight the approaching Americans in the last few days. The question is, what was a Polish helmet, what were the Poles doing in Bochum! ? Condition of the helmet is restored thouroughly, especially the rusted brim, restored by me. It is a 100% authentic found piece from the last few days in the Ruhr Kessel.
