For sale is an absolute fine example of the Greek M34-39 steel combat helmet. This Italian made helmet was ordered by the Greek government shortly before the Italian invasion of Greece. The consignment was never completed. The helmets were delivered without liner and without paint. The Greek liner shows a Greek cross surmounted by a crown and the size of the helmet (57 in this case) and the words Greek Army in greek alphabet. This helmet has a very smooth and complete original liner. The bowl is finished in the original paint. You can see some scratches on the pictures. A beautiful helmet that belongs in every serious helmet collection. See the pictures and have a look at my other advertisements. 90 year old clock in a beautiful authentic wooden case. Very rare to see clock of that age in that kind of condition. And even more rare to know which vessel exactly the clock belonged to. Maxim Gorky (famous soviet writer) whose name was chosen to name a big soviet crusier that was built in 1938 – 900 crew members. You can see a picture of an actual cruiser attached. More about cruiser history below. Maxim Gorky (Russian:) was a Project 26bis Kirov-class cruiser of the Soviet Navy that saw action during World War II and continued in service into the Cold War. She saw no further action in World War II. A major modernization was begun in 1953, but the navy reconsidered the cost-effectiveness of the refit and work was cancelled in 1955. Maxim Gorky was laid down at the Ordzhonikidze Yard, Leningrad on 20 December 1936 as a slightly improved version, Project 26bis as designated by the Soviets, of the first pair of Kirov-class cruisers, which were called Project 26. She was launched on 30 April 1938 and was completed on 12 December 1938. [6] For most of the rest of the war she was blockaded in Leningrad and Kronstadt by Axis minefields and could only provide gunfire support for the defenders during the Siege of Leningrad, for example she fired 285 180 mm shells on 4 September 1941 and 701 rounds during the Krasnoye SeloRopsha Offensive in January 1944. Flyer for a talk by Ernst Röhm, who, four years later, was assassinated by Hitler and the Black Shirts in what became known as The Night of the Long Knives. This Nazi Flyer is in excellent condition, a real vintage treasure, one of a kind: 8 inches by 5 1/2 inches tall, and in very clear print. Also you want the best for Germany – And the way? On this topic speaks this coming Wednesday the 19th of November 1930 in the evening at 8:00 in the Burgerbraukeller (Beer Hall) in the Rosenheimer Street – First Lieutenant Röhm, and Gau Leader Adolf Wagner Signed. Röhm set up the famous Brown-Shirts, the SA or Sturmabteilung (Storm Battalion) – a paramilitary police organization. Many of these were ex-Munich street thugs, and they protected Hitler and the Nazis during party rallies, and disrupted opposing (Marxist) party rallies. Until Hitler and Himmlers Black-Shirt bloody Night of the Long Knives in 1934, when Röhm was assassinated at the age of 47 for allegedly plotting to overthrow the Nazis. Röhm was also an open homosexual, but was not assassinated for this reason, contrary to rumor. The flyers old-fashioned Gothic font had been revived by the Nazis for party announcements, to symbolize the ancient greatness of Germany (before it had lost World War I).
