A rare, original, hard to find, Iron Cross by Walter & Henlein (109). This fine Iron Cross has a 3 piece construction, the core is magnetic and the ribbon does not glow under UV light. This is an extremely nice example of a WW2 Japanese Army Officers Shin Gunto. It is mounted with a very nice old koto blade. The early high quality type 94 koshirae with pierced tsuba remains in exceptionally nice condition. Japanese Army Officers Shin gunto Sword with a very rare Colonel Grade Tassel. The sword blade is very old and dates from no later than the late 1650s. This is mounted in above average military pattern fittings and the gilt is almost completely intact on the handle and on the scabbard as well. To the Japanese Army officer a Sword was a sacred symbol that conveyed high social status. This was a family heirloom that was re-purposed into the regulation Army Officers Shin Gunto Sword and would have certainly had great sentimental value to the Japanese Army Colonel who carried it as a badge of rank. The Japanese Military Officers Samurai sword was the most prized war trophy of the Pacific War and it was an iconic symbol of the Japanese ethos of Warfare. Shinano Kami Fujiwara Daido. Original 1920’s US Navy dress sword as shown. Original uncleaned condition from the family estate. Overall length in the scabbard is 33 5/8. The blade just under 28 long. Knight on one side of blade. Records show as Lt. Commander of the Navy Intelligence division, serving in (at least) the years of 1923 and 1924. Marked only “proved” without a maker’s name. The blade is unsharpened as a dress sword (the tip is sharp). The handle is a natural shark? Skin that has some wear and missing spots on one side at the guard. Otherwise excellent condition overall. Up for sale in an original 1930’s US Army Corduroy Sports Jacket for the 1st Infantry Hdq. Company (I believe its supposed to be the Headquarters for the 115th Infantry because the shield is 115th Infantry). Jacket features amazing chainstitching and design and the burgundy color is spectacular. I will have to measure but best guess is this is a size 38. There are a few holes and a missing tooth on the Talon zipper but it does zip up and down but you have to go slow. There is some minor bleed over onto the cream colored chainstitching but it doesn’t detract. This jacket is 100% original and rare. More pictures and details to come. No lowball offers will be considered. I have alot into this jacket and will only let it go for the right price.
