This is a superb example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a STAR STAMPED Gendai blade with a cutting edge that measures 24 1/2 inches in length and wears a lovely wavy temper line which extends to the tip on either side. The blade has survived in excellent condition with only some minor light surface blemishes. The tang is signed and dated which translates to “Musashi no kuni Akiyuki zou kore” and “Showa juhachinen go gatsu kichi jitsu (1943, May lucky day)”. All the Regulation fittings also remain in very good condition as well as does the scabbard. Overall measuring 39 1/4 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list.
