This Italian made type of helmet was ordered by the Greek government shortly before the Italian invasion of Greece. The consignment was never completed. The helmets were delivered without liner and without paint. The Greek liner must show a Greek cross surmounted by a crown and the size of the helmet (57 in this case) and the words’Greek Army’ in Greek alphabet. This helmet has a very smooth and complete original liner. The bowl is finished in the original paint. A beautiful helmet that belongs in every serious helmet collection. Dieser in Italien hergestellte Helmtyp wurde von der griechischen Regierung kurz vor der italienischen Invasion in Griechenland bestellt. Die Sendung wurde nie fertiggestellt. Die Helme wurden ohne Liner und ohne Lackierung geliefert. Der griechische Liner muss ein griechisches Kreuz mit einer Krone und die Größe des Helms (in diesem Fall 57) sowie die Worte “Griechische Armee” im griechischen Alphabet aufweisen. La fodera greca deve mostrare una croce greca sormontata da una corona e la taglia dell’elmo (57 in questo caso) e le parole “Esercito greco” in alfabeto greco. Questo casco ha una fodera originale molto liscia e completa. La ciotola è rifinita con la vernice originale. Un bellissimo casco che appartiene a ogni seria collezione di caschi.
