GERMAN WW1 Or WW2 Early K98 BAYONET With Rich. A. Herder 1938 SCABBARD
Don’t know the exact details but the sheath shows RICH. HERDER 1938 on one side. The other side shows 149 C. Knife shows 8730 on one side and 41 cof on the other side. Great condition for it age. Button works and is spring loaded. Knife has been sharpened and or used. Wood handle is in good condition also. I believe it’s walnut. Not sure if it WW1 or WW2. The very heavily illustrated book with photos on every page, most of them full or even huge double page photos, is depicting Germany’s amazing uprising in the first three years since the National Socialist seizure of power. It features the horrible situation in Germany after the end of World War One with record high unemployment rates, terrible housing and working conditions and a youth without a future. The book then continues with the seizure of power in 1933 and the progams that were immediately put in effect to decrease unemployment, construction of new homes, new factories, the Reichsautobahn, many new Nazi buildings, the Hitler Youth (HJ) and Bund Deutsche Madel (BDM), Reich Labor Service (RAD) and KdF (Kraft durch Freude or Strength Through Joy), the Winter Aid Program (WHW) and much more!
