Up for sale is a visor cap pre WWII which belonged to a high ranked dignatary in the Belgian Congo. Realy nice and scare piece. Made by “Grand Maison du Congo” in Brussels, who were the authorised dealers for this type of equipment used in the Congo. 1930’s EM Infantry Dress Visor Cap – Contract Marked. The cap has some light wear throughout. The blue infantry cap band has some wear, fading and discoloration (see pictures). Chin strap and visor have some light wear and the visor has cracking in the finish. The cap insignia has some light wear and blemishing. The sweatband has some wear, small holes and a few small areas where the stitching has come loose. Under the sweatband is the contract marks. Size: 6 7/8 approx. Original pre-WWII US Army officers dress cap. Typical 1920s /1930s color wool gabardine construction with stiff leather visor, officer wool mohair and leather chinstrap. Comes with original officer badge on the front. Nice identification tag attached to the leather sweatband. Good condition with light wear.
