Original WWII Italian Army Fascist “Tank Pilot” Full Size Wings. Very nice original Italian badge. They measure 74 mm across and are factory made not field construction. With typical Italian barrel catch on reverse for pin. Badge is fire gilt with nice high polish along the edge of the wings and details on the tank and eagle (not well shown in pictures). This variant appears to be for the Carro Veloce L3/33 light tank. While the “tank pilot” badges were never official as the war ended before the regulations were enacted a few specifics are known. The badges were made by the same companies who produced pilot wings. The tank affixed to the wing is the tank which the “pilot” trained for. Finally, the same regulation for size of the wings applies to the RA pilot and the tank pilot. This set is a full size set for the uniform tunic. See my other auctions with military and other items! Our own recreation of the A-1 flight jacket in goatskin leather. The A-1 jacket was the standard issue of the US Army Air Corps from about 1926-36, although still seen at the beginning of WWII. Our reproduction is made of very soft goatskin leather. Knits are a durable poly/wool blend. You should order one size larger than normal to get a comfortable jacket fit. XXL = size 44-46 chest. Original pre-WWII US Army officers dress cap. Typical 1920s /1930s color wool gabardine construction with stiff leather visor, officer wool mohair and leather chinstrap. Comes with original officer badge on the front. Nice identification tag attached to the leather sweatband. Good condition with light wear. 1920-30’s Airship Pilot’s wing marked Sterling, full size, pin back, no maker’s mark. This is the traditional design authorized by regulation and a copy of the design authorized by the Government when they created the “From Official Die” concept in the mid 20’s.
