US Navy Dress Uniform – WWI era to pre WWII. This complete set includes the gold fringe epaulettes, bicorn hat, sword belt, hat and epaulette box, and dress jacket (owned by a different officer than the epaulette set). It also includes the dress sword, although newer but correct regulation sword. The initials of the navy officer who owned the hat, epaulettes and belt is on the box. The bicorn hat and epaulettes were standard uniform for officers pre-WWII. Early 20th Century US Naval Officer’s Full Dress Cocked Hat/Chapeau, Shoulder Epaulettes, and Carrying Case. Probably for a Lieutenant. According to my research, these are from the early 20th century… Condition: Very nice, with a few loose areas (see photos). 7″ L x 5 1/2″ W x 3 1/2 Fringe Length. Made by The Wm. Measures 19″ total length x 7″ Total Width x 5 1/2 Total Height. With the exception of the areas where black “fur” is rubbed off. Black exterior isn’t metal, but some kind of hard pressed material. Brass corners, hinges, latches. Purplish Velvet interior (see photos). Name on latches is Corbin. Measures 19″ x 8″ x 7. Definitely used, but in good vintage condition. This is a 100% original USMC Officers Dress Uniform named to Karl F. Included in the lot is his complete dress uniform. Umlor shows up on the WW1 96th and 83rd company rosters and looks to have been with the 6th Marines throughout the entire war. In September 1918 he was commissioned to 2nd Lt. The group is as I got it. I added the Sam Brown belt and the collar Egas. The Sam brown belonged to LtGen EA Craig (belt marked) who was award the Navy Cross in WW2. As stated I added the collar Egas. They are marked Meyers and are clutch back. The cover is as nice as they get. It does have a 10k marked ega. I do not see and mouthing on the cover trousers or blouse. There is a name tag in the blouse. This uniform is mannequin ready. I will also include some of his records (copies) that came with the group. A very rare item and a must have for the WW1 Marine Corps collector. Do not miss out on this rare opportunity. This is a good example of a Japanese Naval Officer’s Dress Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a lovely machine made blade that measures 25 5/8 inches in length which remains in good original condition with just some minor surface blemishes. The beautiful D-guard is very nicely detailed and frames a healthy samé covered hilt with the original wire wrap still tightly in place and pretty cherry blossoms “sakura” motifs adorn the pommel, the backstrap and the guard face. The leather scabbard wears lovely coordinating fittings, and also remains healthy with minor scuffing and with all of its stitching still tightly intact. Overall measuring 32 3/8 inches in length. This is a good example of a War-Time Japanese Naval Officer’s Parade Dress Sword. It is mounted with a machine made blade that measures 26 1/2 inches in length which remains in near mint condition. The lovely brass D-guard still wears traces of the original gold finish and frames a samé covered hilt with its original wire wrap still tightly in place. Pretty cherry blossoms “sakura” motifs adorn the pommel, the backstrap and the guard face. The black lacquered leather scabbard wears beautiful fittings with coordinating sakura motifs that also continue to wear traces of their gold wash and although the leather is lightly scuffed, the leather does remain in very healthy condition. The original pretty cloth Sword Knot remains present and healthy although its cord is now a bit worn. Overall the Sword measures 33 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. These are a pair of original WWI era US Navy officer formal dress epaulettes. They have the rank of Lieutenant, some of the fringe is stretched and broken. All our items come from estate sales, yard sales, flea markets or places that we have traveled. All Japanese items come directly from Japan. I lived in Japan for 8 years and collected several nice pieces. Feedback will be left once feedback is received.
