Offering a 19th or early 20th C British Royal Navy leather cordite artillery ammunition bucket with leather handle, incised on the leather base No57 IIII BH&G Ltd, 13″ plus handle x 6″ in diameter, handle is intact. Canvas lined, leather is in good vintage condition as seen in the pix, hand painted shield shows wear. I got this recently from an estate and don’t know much about it. It looks like it may be sterling? The medal is almost 1 1/2 in diameter. It is stamped, “GEORGIVUS VDG BRITT OMN REXETINDIAE IMP” on the front and “INDIA” on the back. The bar is stamped, North West Frontier 1930-31. ” On the bottom edge it is stamped, “6906 SEP KARIM KHAN No 2-1 PUNJAB R. The medal is in good. Check out the photos!

This is an original British India service medal with a North West Frontier clasp for service in Afghanistan named to a member of the 10th Baluch Regiment of the British Army. 12th British Lancers Helmet, Czapska. This is an other ranks Czapska in original condition. The glossed leather has the scuff marks, and surface cracks as typical for an oritinal piece. The plume is original red horse hair. The soft leather liner of the the curb chain needs to be re- stitched to the metal links in places. The front plate bears the Edwardian Crown, and battle honors through the 2nd Boer War. All in all a very nice piece belonging to a storied and glorious regiment. Formed in 1715 as Light Dragoons, they took the fashion and title of Lancers following the Battle of Waterloo. This is a fine example of one of the most intricate, and magnificent headdresses adopted by the British Military. Final price reduction before removal.
