Awarded to St Sierzant Jan Bartos on May 17th 1921 who was attached to the 9th Pilsudski Legion Infantry Regiment. It was awarded for the Polish Soviet War one of the greatest historical battles which changed world history resulted in the 2nd greatest Polish military victory after the Battle of Grunwald. Sgt Bartos was one of the first to be decorated with the re-instituted VM. Very rare original, 1st type VM. This is an official government issue. Mounted on an new replacement ribbon.
