1933 CCC Special Orders 105+106 Fort Sam Houston Camp Bullis Roster TX

Dated May 15 & 16, 1933 – the earliest days of President Roosevelt’s Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) program! These are authentic typed military documents from Headquarters, Eighth Corps Area, Fort Sam Houston. 106 (May 16): Lists enrollees (“CCC camp men”) by name, rank (mostly Acting Sergeants, Privates, Cooks, Mess Sergeants), assigned to specific early Texas CCC work camps. All directed to report to Camp Bullis for preparatory training without delay. Multi-page originals, mimeographed/typed format typical of 1930s Army orders. Shows folds, some edge wear, stamps, and handwritten notes from the era – overall good condition for 90+ year-old ephemera (see all photos). Historical significance: These capture the rapid Army mobilization of the CCC in spring 1933, just weeks after FDR’s Executive Order. Fort Sam Houston was a primary Texas hub; Camp Bullis processed thousands of early enrollees. Ideal for CCC/New Deal collectors, Texas military history, genealogy researchers (hundreds of named individuals), or Depression-era archivists. No reproductions – genuine vintage originals!
