This is a Serbian Order of St. Sava, 5th Class Knight’s Cross, Type III. This version shows the Saint in Green Robes. Unmarked as to maker. Light contact marks and enamel chipping on rear points. Measures 41mm x 67mm including the crown suspension. The Order was established by King Milan I in 1883, was named for St. Sava, and was a civil decoration awarded for services to the Church, to the Royal House, and to the State. The Order of Saint Sava was an Order of Merit and was first awarded by the Kingdom of Serbia in 1883 and later by the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia until the abolition of the Monarchy in 1945. Romanian Order of the Crown, Knight’s Cross, Military Division (with Crown and Swords) in silver and enamels. Type II from the period 1932 -1947. The obverse has the cypher of King Carol I in the center surrounded by the Order’s foundation date of “14 March 1881″ and “Prin Noi Insine” (By Ourselves). The Reverse displays three dates: 1866 (for the referendum), 1877 (complete Romanian Independence), and 1881 (Proclamation of carol as King of Romania). The Romanian Order of the Crown is a chivalric order set up on 14 March, 1881 by King Carol I to commemorate the establishment of the Kingdom of Romania. This is a great find. It is a well preserved set of originals 1920s vintage Air Corps B-1A Luxor flying goggles. This set of goggles are 100% original. Frames are in very good condition and each side of the frame is marked, E. Two piece face cushions are still in very good condition.. They are not dried out. Includes a nice goggle strap that is Luxor marked. Glass lenses are original and in excellent condition. This style goggles was used by the Army Air Corps during the 1920s. Matching case is in excellent condition and nicely marked. These goggles are nearly 100 years old and in remarkable museum quality condition. First set we have seen in this nice of condition. ORIGINAL UNITED STATES ARMY CUBAN OCCUPATION MEDAL, FULL WRAP BROOCH W/ LOCKING CATCH. STUDLEY & DAVIDSON OF PHILADELPHIA. RIBBON DRAPE TESTED U. The Army of Cuban Occupation Medal was a military award created by the United States War Department in June 1915. The medal recognizes those service members who performed garrison occupation duty in the United States Protectorate over Cuba, following the close of the SpanishAmerican War. The Army of Cuban Occupation Medal was established by War Department General Order 40, in June 1915. To be awarded the Army of Cuban Occupation Medal, a service member must have served within the geographical borders of Cuba between the dates of 18 July 1898 and 20 May 1902. The medal was primarily awarded to members of the United States Army, but was available to other branches of service under certain circumstances. The first Army of Cuban Occupation Medal was awarded to Major General Leonard Wood. The Army of Cuban Pacification Medal was a similarly named decoration, but was awarded for the withdrawal of U. Forces from Cuba seven years after the close of the SpanishAmerican War. The medal is a circular bronze disc 1 3/8 inches in diameter. On the obverse is the Coat of Arms of Cuba. Around the edge is the inscription ARMY OF OCCUPATION MILITARY GOVERNMENT OF CUBA. The dates 1898 and 1902 are on either side of the Phrygian cap at the top of the coat of arms. The reverse depicts a spread winged eagle perched upon a trophy of a cannon, rifles, war flags, an Indian shield, quiver of arrows and three spears, a Cuban machete and Sulu kris. Below the trophy are the words FOR SERVICE. Above the eagle are the words arched around the edge UNITED STATES ARMY. In the lower half at the edge are thirteen five-pointed stars. The medal is suspended from a ribbon 1 3/8 inches wide. It is composed of the following vertical stripes: 1/16 inch ultramarine Blue; 3/8 inch old glory red; 1/16 inch golden yellow; 3/8 inch ultramarine blue; 1/16 inch golden yellow; 3/8 inch old glory ged; and 1/16 inch ultramarine blue.
