Here is a wonderful WW1 USMC painted helmet. ID’d to Thomas E. Lee who was a member of the 69th Guard Company, 11th Regiment, 5th Marine Brigade, AEF. He was at Camp Pontanezen, France from what I can tell. Stunning color artwork with crossed American and French flag, large EGA to front along with German style tortoiseshell camo design. This is 100% guaranteed to be real, and is one of the most attractive Marine Corps painted helmets we have ever seen. This is a very nice and extremely well made German Bayonet Trench Knife that was made from a German 84/98 Bayonet. It is mounted with a clipped point blade which measures 5 7/8 inches in length that remains in superb original condition with only minor scabbard wear to the blued finish near the tip. The screw type wooden grips remain in superb, original condition as well. The metal scabbard is very nicely mounted with a belt clip and also remains very nice, fitting the blade snuggly. Fantastic Pre WW2 Trench Art Theater Made Working Brass Signal Cannon. The best piece of trench art I have ever found. Fantastic little desk cannon made from naval shell brass. This is an example of a French Trench Knife, Model 1916 also known as “Le Vengeur de 1870″ and was manufactured by the maker S. O as marked on one side of the ricasso. It is mounted with a nice blade which measures 6 1/2 inches in length. The blade has survived in nice condition with only some minor surface scratches, light sharpening and minor stains. The wooden hilt is simple in design but nicely carved, remains healthy and is tightly fitted with a steel crossguard. This particular Trench Knife most likely saw action during WWII and the story is that the leather sheath was constructed from the leather of a German Fighter Pilot’s seat. This is a very nice example of a well made German Trench Knife / Boot Knife that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a “W” marked blade that measures 6 3/4 inches in length which remains in superb original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. It has a two piece riveted wooden grip that also remains in excellent condition. The black lacquered scabbard wears a belt clip and remains near perfect in its condition as well with just some light surface scuffing. Overall measuring 11 1/2 inches in length.
