BRAZIL PAULISTA REVOLUTION RESTORED HELMET. This is one version of 3 versions of a 1932 Brazilian Civil War Paulistas Steel Helmet manufactured in Brazil. Using the design of the French M-15 Helmet and modified to suit the Brazilian Paulistas needs. The main difference is the way the helmet shell is pressed out of one piece of steel instead of being put together from three pieces as the French Helmet was and the other is the air vent on the top of the helmet shell. ThE first version of the Paulistas helmet has an air vent which is pressed into the top of the helmet shell and holes drilled around the protrusion. The second version of this helmet uses the French system where the air vent on the top of the shell is covered by a comb however the comb on the Paulistas helmet is very small compared to the French helmet. The third version is the MK1 brazilian made. This helmet shell is painted olive green , repainted this year. There is no liner. Overall, this helmet shell is in good condition for it’s age and whatever use it may have had in my opinion. Verblifa (Vereenigde Blik Fabrieken) produced this helmets in the 1930’s until 1941 in Holland. They were even produced later on in World War two. Productions after 1940 never had the heraldic lion of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the front, and had a cheaper liner than the earliest productions. They had no leather neck protections as the KNIL M38 had. So, on this helmet. As these M36 could not be transported to the Netherlands Indies, they were issued during WW2 to several Air Defense, Civil Defense and Police units, sometimes even to German ones. In 1945, until the German defeat in 1945, they were also used by the Dutch resistance. Also in the Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten (Inland Forces), the First regular Netherlands Army set up in 1944 in the South of the Netherlands (after the Liberation, their commander was Prince Berhard of the Netherlands). This Rare Untouched (Dusty/Dirty) Barn Find Original M35 German Helmet has the following features: 1 Over 50% of it’s Original Field Paint that looks to be mixed with something to have a Camo appearance/color & texture roughness vs inside smooth apple green paint. 2 Stamped SE64 with Lot# XX42 (Hard to read & partially hidden by painted on name). Age: Unknown (M35 German Helmets started in 1935) , probably re-fitted & used in WW2 due to steel chin strap connectors on liner that show rust, along with 1941 chin strap & the Camo paint applied to outside of Helmet. Size: 64 (Stamped SE64). Condition: Good Over-all Untouched used Condition (The Whole Helmet Shows honest wear, some rust, stains, scratches, etc, along with alot of Barn Dust/Dirt).
