This is a vintage pair of aviator’s goggles with their aluminum case. The label on the strap is marked: E. The goggles have glass lenses and the bridge piece has an emblem with wings and the logo for American Optical Co. Was told by an ebayer that the mark was used on the goggles till 1929. The strap end hooks were bent slightly to remove them from the goggles. The aluminum case is 8 5/8″ long, 3″ wide and 1 3/4 high. It is marked “Aviator’s Goggle”. Someone had scratched “Simmie” onto the lid. The goggles are missing the inside padding. This is a great find. It is a well preserved set of originals 1920s vintage Air Corps B-1A Luxor flying goggles. This set of goggles are 100% original. Frames are in very good condition and each side of the frame is marked, E. Two piece face cushions are still in very good condition.. They are not dried out. Includes a nice goggle strap that is Luxor marked. Glass lenses are original and in excellent condition. This style goggles was used by the Army Air Corps during the 1920s. Matching case is in excellent condition and nicely marked. These goggles are nearly 100 years old and in remarkable museum quality condition. First set we have seen in this nice of condition. Vintage 1927 Nicaragua Managua US Marine Aviators Sun Glasses Goggles USMC. From the Estate of a US Marine Aviator who served in Nicaragua during 1927 to 1930. The frames are made of Bakelite and the lenses are Amber Glass. The wire rims have a leather covering over them. They are in excellent condition with only slight discoloration in the leather behind the ears. The Glass lenses are removable as there is an aluminum bracket on the top that appears if unhooked will release the lenses. I did not try to do this however. Canvas case is also in excellent condition. No rust on the snaps. Any questions please ask! I tried them on and they fit very snugly to the eyes. 5.75 inches end hinge screw to end hinge screw. 1930’s HB Rocket Goggles and medium leather cap with bill and strap. Goggles were made by HB Inc of Brooklyn NY. Goggles are made of heavy nickel frames and safety glass, face pads are soft and pliable. Light blue tint and Stryro-foam head is included. Original adjustable strap is intact and good condition. Used for aviation, auto and motorcycle racing thru WW2. Harry and Joseph Buegeleisen were brothers in a family business in Brooklyn NY in the early 1900’s. Harry started making goggles and leather jackets. Joseph branched out on his own to form Levi Strauss jeans and Buco leather products. Leather helmet S small has no brand. Foam head is included. Vintage Meyrowitz Luxor No 6 Aviation/Motorsport Goggles with Original Tin Case. These goggles probably date from the 1920’s or 30’s, but I have seen some references that they were issued to WWI pilots. Y’all will probably know more about them than I do, anyway. Regardless, they are original and came from a family estate. The original tin/aluminum case is marked “Luxor Goggle No 6″ on top and E. Meyrowitz New York-Paris-London on the front of the top piece. I believe they are pretty neat and in very nice condition, but please condition and all pictures. These goggles are in very nice condition for their age. The lenses are not scratched and appear very clear. The cushions show a little wear, but are still well preserved. The tin, or aluminum case has some scratches but no dents.
