This is undoubtedly the rarest military photo I have ever owned. Ultra Rare Yard Long Official Photo WW1 USS Georgia w Crew US Navy by JC Crosby. He moved to Norfolk, Va. In the later part of 1920. A list of known Navy photographs he produced is listed in Naval Historical Center Homepage online Library. This one is not listed and may be the only one known to exist. The frame measures approximately 44-1/4 x 10-1/4. The previous owner had it professionally framed with a new dust cover installed. I cut back about a quarter of the dust cover to view a portion of the print itself. I guarantee it to be old and original. There are a few condition issues that are common to photographs of this age. Please scan with the zoom tool to examine it for yourself. The backer board is white so the upper left corner and the few small white spots are holes in the photo. Condition: The cover has lots of wear with small edge tears. The interior pages are in good condition with minor edge, corner, and surface spots due to age. There is no writing on the interior pages. EM Viquesney sculptor post WW1 Americus Georgia Spirit of the American Doughboy. Produced in Americus Georgia following WW1. 10 3/4 with a base of Approx. Weight is a hefty 3lb 15Oz. The piece is missing the M 1903 rifle with Bayonet (Due to the nature of the assembly the hand and rifle often dropped off , there is no breakage). Condition is good with no breaks or cracks other than the base plate material which is missing. There are some dents and losses here and there, (some barbed wire absent), some scratching /discoloration around the eyes. Please carefully inspect the pictures as these form part of the description.
