Beautiful, original and hard to find, appears unissued. It is made from a Remington rolling block bayonet which was modified at an Argentine arsenal to fit The Model 1891/31 Engineers Mauser carbine. Blade is bright with some slide marks from the scabbard and is marked R. Unsharpened blade with very sharp point and is complete with a thin leather washer. Nicely blued scabbard has a faint plum tinge to it along with a little freckling and some scattered small storage dents. See photos for details. Hello, This is a ww2 Stag Bayonet. The maker is Carl Eickhorn , Solingen. The Frog is made by Carl Henkel, Bielefeld. This Bayonet is signed–Initialed. 408, on pommel and P. 408 is on the Scabbard. The Dagger and the Scabbard have Matching Numbers. The sheath has a number 17 at top and the dagger has a number 17 on back bone of blade up by cross guard. Stag scales are very nice. Lots of Engraving , Has some staining and some light pitting. Look at all pictures there part of this Add. Very Rare and Collectible. Don’t really know much about this Bayonet. Finnish Bayonet M/28 by Hackman with Hackman Black Painted Fluted Scabbard. This is a Civil Guard Bayonet for the M28 Mosin Nagant Rifle. The M/28 Bayonet was dipped in bluing thus why it has the brown line on the Ricasso. Many Hackman M28 Bayonets have this brown line line removed due to the excessive polishing. This one has not been touched. A fine example of a Finnish Civil Guard Hackman Bayonet. The civil guard inspectors mark =S= is on the opposite side of the cross guard from the Hackman Maker Mark on the Ricasso. This unusual but not unheard of. Civil Guard District 84471 is on the hilt without the S. This was common for later Civil Guard items. 03 is on the pommel. I will also be listing a Hackman M/28 Bayonets with Original Green Painted Fluted Scabbard and Frog but these will be 2.5x the price.
