Nice M-1938 Pattern Col dress blue jacket. The shoulder straps have snap attachments, the CIB is bullion and sewn on with the ribbon bars clutch back. There isn’t a name on the tailor’s tag nor any identification on the piece. The jacket itself is in excellent shape. This was in the collection which I’m liquidating. The jacket is very loose on a size 36 mannequin. I do not take measurements so please don’t ask. Brazilian 1932 Constitutionalist Revolution “Paulista Model” with Trench Paint. The Constitutionalist Revolution of 1932 (sometimes also referred to as Paulista War or Brazilian Civil War) is the name given to the uprising of the population of the Brazilian state of São Paulo against the 1930 coup d’état when Getúlio Vargas forcibly assumed the nation’s Presidency; Vargas was supported by the military and the political elites of Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraíba. More material in Wikipedia search on Google. The worlds in bold below. There was 3 types of steel helmets made by the revolutionaries. One based on the british “brodie”helmet, one based in the french “Adrian’s helmet” and the third one, a native project helmet called “Paulista Model”, the one on sale. The “Paulista Model “was cheaper and less complicated to make it. Only the revolutionaries had steel hemelts, the brazilian federal army used Pith Helmets made of coconut fiber or cork. As you can see in the photos, this one was painted with a type of bird (second photo). This is a very nice and extremely well made German Bayonet Trench Knife that was made from a German 84/98 Bayonet. It is mounted with a clipped point blade which measures 5 7/8 inches in length that remains in superb original condition with only minor scabbard wear to the blued finish near the tip. The screw type wooden grips remain in superb, original condition as well. The metal scabbard is very nicely mounted with a belt clip and also remains very nice, fitting the blade snuggly. I’ve been collecting for 10 years and have decided to part with a few relics. This impressive 27 railroad eagle is one of the most sought after relics of the third reich. They were used in various sizes, on German railway locomotives, diesels, passenger cars as well as on buildings. Not only have they taken off in popularity but also price over the years, making them more difficult to find. This fine example is maker marked PS inside a small circle. Compound elements are also stamped on the wing (gal galvanized aluminum – mg magnesium , si – silicone) stamped in the center of the eagle are the abbreviations lok 680 locomotive 680mm rza5 reich zug adler (train eagle) , bln berlin. The threaded mounting posts are still intact and the details are very sharp and extremely well detailed. This is high quality specimen with beautiful patina. I’m willing to part with 10 of these from my collection. The eagle you receive may be the one pictured, or another of the same pristine quality.
