63 Rare Collectable Vintage Airplane Blimps Civilian Photos in Album. Authentic
This is a very unique record of pre WW2 history. The first six photos featured are of airborne blimps (or dirigibles). They measure 3 1/2″ X 2 1/2″. The next six measure the same and are of a Dornier DO-X. Only three were ever built and eventually scrapped. This sort of gives me the timeline and location as well as the sign on the gangway that says “No Smoking” in German. The four photos of the gentleman waiting to board the smaller 4 window plane are of a Dornier as well. There are 63 photos in all some small others large. I featured what I thought were the best. Some are 3 1/2″ X 5″ and some are larger 7″ X 9″. The others are of landscapes, office parties and what looks like a hospital. All are taken by someone who understood how to use a camera which I think was a Leica. I did not remove the photos from their clips but I could see by coaxing them forward there was writing on the back of some of them. I think an archivist should remove them and they should be translated. This truly is a wonderful snapshot in time and the blimps (dirigible) and plane photos in a group is extremely rare.
