WW2 Dutch steel helmet M38R in original condition. The’R’ stands for the position of the liner’Romanian way’ (used for export helmets) i. Some degrees different from the common style placed liners. This is a helmet of the Dutch troops as used against the German invadors in may 1940. It was manufactured in the Netherlands by “Artillerie Inrichtingen” or “Verblifa”. A slight different than its predecessor, the M27. The helmet retains its beautiful Art Deco Bronze emblem representing the Arms of the Netherlands. It was painted black in WW2 during the German occupation, when it was used by collaborating civil defence, police or fire brigades. The ensemble is Original and in remarkable good condition. Original olive green finish under the WW2 black layer. Nice army number stanced in the liner band, and made unreadible when reused.
