This is an original Austrian M. 1861 Foot Officer’s Sword and sheath that shows little evidence of use. A used British 1897 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword George 5th NO SCABBARD. This sword has King George V and the Kings crown eteched onto the blade, as well as designed into the guard, so this sword dates from 1910 to 1936. The length of the blade is 33 inches. Handle grip is made of shark skin and is in excelent condition. There are some very minor dings in the edge of the blade, but besides that it is in excellent condition. There are no visible maker marks and thie sword is not regimentally marked at all. Overall in excellent conditon and a very nice piece. GST of 5% is applicable on all sales within Canada. Original German Kriegsmarine naval officer’s sword with sheath, either Weimar republic or WWII but reconciled to be more likely produced during the Weimar Republic after researching different design variants of the lion’s head German naval sword and the apparent scarcity of this exact design. Sword has NO OFFENSIVE MARKINGS and is in overall very good condition. Sheath has some light rubbing wear to the leather as well as some minor and superficial white scuffs. Sheath is overall very well intact though the middle and lower brass pieces are missing their staples. Blade is in very nice condition and shows an etched naval motif which remained the same from the WWI imperial period and earlier through the Weimar Republic and WWII. Blade is very well intact but does show some normal tarnishing for it’s age that should be able to be cleaned if the next owner chooses to do so. Blade has 553 serial number as well as ACS with scales mark for the Alcoso maker. Grip has a crack from the upper end to about the middle measuring about 1 1/2 inches. Though the grip is cracked no pieces are falling free or loose at all. Hilt is in excellent condition with anchor and floral motif with lion’s head at the lower end with a green and red jewel for each eye. Hinges on hilt perfectly intact and function as they should. Portapee is present and sturdy and overall in good condition with some obvious fraying. Blade measures 28 1/4 inches long. Entire sword in sheath measures 33 7/8 inches. This 1930’s U. Army Full Dress Field Grade Officer’s white summer cap is in very good condition overall; The cap is faded from use, age and storage and has a small area of staining on the top of the cap, cap badge has toning and nice patina, sweatband is intact and has minor wear (all stitching in very good condition), when worn the visor has a very nice shape and the oak leaf clusters in gold bullion on the visor have nice toning with no fraying or loose threads.
