This is a type 45 hat of the former Japanese Army. It was manufactured in 1922, Army Clothing Main Plant, size 6, and has a stamp with an individual’s name. It is slightly misshapen. This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 32 that is wearing matching numbers. It is mounted with a well made machine made blade that measures 30 5/8 inches in length which remains in superb original condition. The Sword wears a metal D-guard with a checkered wooden grip that has survived in excellent condition as well and is dated “Taisho 1.2″ which translates to “February 1912″. The MATCHING metal scabbard has minor scuffs as well as a ding and a minor rust spot on the edge of the drag, nevertheless remains in very good serviceable condition and continues to wear all of its beautiful blued finish.
