See my other items. EXTREMELY RARE POLISH, POLAND NAVY OFFICER SWORD SABER Model wz. Navy variant Polish saber Mod. Extremely rare Polish, Poland saber Naval Officer. Such swords were produced only 130 units. Inscription: “Honor i Ojczyzna”. Sabre is in excellent condition, with the original scabbard. Perfectly preserved gilding (about 80%) on the hilt and scabbard fittings. Also nickel on the blade preserved very well. On the blade inscription: “Honor i Ojczyzna” and signature: G. In Polish museums I know of only two such sabers. One is in the Museum of the Polish Army (Muzeum Wojska Polskiego) in Warsaw. The second is located in the Museum of Polish Arms (Muzeum Ora Polskiego) in Kolobrzeg. Sword, saber in excellent. Condition for his age. Dimension : 94 cm x 11 cm x 8 cm. Pre WWII Polish wz. Here is a wz. 31 helmet that has been in my collection for a number of years. The helmet is an original pot with original liner and chinstrap. At one time this helmet was painted black on the outside and the inside rim – as can be evidenced by remnants of black paint on the liner. Someone has removed the black paint and repainted it green with a close resemblance to the original color. Whoever did this was very careful not to damage the inside markings or the liner/chinstrap. An attempt was made to recreate the original salamandra finish, but it is lacking its original appearance. The inside of the helmet behind the liner still has its original paint stamping bearing Ludwikow 98 37. It also has its K2 ink stamp and its copper control rivet with K2 acceptance stamp. The liner has a K2 stamp and all 3 pads in place. I believe them to be original as they seem to be filled with a coarse animal hair. The leather is in great shape for its age without dry rot, but I would not consider it soft/supple. These helmets are very scarce, especially with intact leather component and markings. It is a wonderful representative piece, that will add to any helmet collection. Please let me know if you have any questions. A very rare and very attractive Polish officer sword model 1921/22. Triple fullered blade is marked on side. The outer side of blade etched with the national motto. Wire wrapped leather grip intact. VG condition, spots and stain on blade to remove. Overall: 36.5” / 93cm blade: 29.5” / 75cm out of scabbard: 34” / 87cm.
