WW2 WWII Ea Spanish Model-26 (Spanish Civil War 1936-1939) steel helmet M34
The M26 helmet was made at the “National Arsenal of Artillery” in Trubia, this helmet is commonly referred to as a “Con ala” which translates to “With Wings” due to its flared sides, it was distributed in 1930 and was a common sight on the battlefields during the Spanish Civil War. These along with other helmets in service with the Spanish Army were all withdrawn in 1943 and refurbished, they had a coating of a light green paint and frontal brackets to hold the new “Franco” badges, most of the older M26’s etc had the liners replaced too. However this one still retains the original 3-piece liner in good condition.
